Designer: David Oliver
Product: The Drawing Pod

The professional tool redesigned. David drove down from Boston to attend ICFF and show at our Meetup. His idea comes from his own frustration with pulling his drawings out of tubes. While the tube protects, getting drawings in and out can damage. His Drawing Pod solves all of these problems in a very elegant and sturdy solution...

- The Drawing Pod
- Hard elastomer casing, magnetic closure & self-adjusting strap
- Two sizes, three colors, starting at $100

- " Artists, designers and engineers put a lot of time and effort into creating drawings, plans and artwork. Finally, there's a case worthy of your best work.

Rolled drawings inserted in a tube unwind against the sides and want to stay there. Extracting them requires you to squeeze your hand in the end to coil and possibly damage them.

Enter the Drawing Pod. Flip open the end cap to insert rolled documents. When it's time for your presentation or just to take them out, the Drawing Pod opens lengthwise for easy access.

The large version comes with a self-adjusting strap that expands like a bow. It is there when you need it ,but springs against the side of the case, out of the way, when you don't. There are no buckles to adjust and there's no slack to get in the way.

With U.S. and international patents pending, the Drawing Pod is much more than a drafting tube. It is a high end presentation case that introduces a new level of fit finish, design and functionality for carrying and presenting rolled documents.

Beyond the functional advantages and the clean aesthetic, the Drawing Pod is simply a pleasure use. The elastomer end caps feel good in the hand, the magnetic closure provides a satisfying click, the strap fits over your shoulder just so."
